Going Monochromatic

After attending the Scandi-Lous event a week ago, I’ve decided to incorporate what I’ve learned and dress like a Scandinavian every single chance I can! And why wouldn’t I? It’s the most comfortable and simple way to express oneself without ever falling short of being fashionable. To kick things off, I went with a Scandi/monochromatic look, which simply is just jogger pants, a muscle tee and a sling bag of the similar hue.

Monochromatic looks aren’t limited to black and white pieces. As long as they’re of the similar color or shade, you are definitely in that zone. But with all honesty, the best monochromatic looks in my opinion are of the neutral shades namely black, white, gray and beige. You won’t go wrong with them! They might be simple, but with the right pieces, they’re complete head-turners and even life-savers!

You may ask why I call the above mentioned neutral shades life-savers? Well, they’re the easiest pieces to shop for especially when you’re on a budget. You can also use them over and over again and style them differently. Like these black jogger pants I got at the Surplus Shop for only Php195. I can wear them joggers with a gray tee, a sheer white top or even a black one! I can also opt for different types of footwear like (I linked each one by the way), black sneakers or running shoes, strappy sandals or strapped heels like the one I’m wearing from Payless PH!
